Matthew 19:13–15
Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, ‘Leave the children alone, and do not forbid them to come to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’ After laying His hands on them, He departed from there.”
When Jesus walked the earth, children were not an interruption to His ministry. They were welcomed, valued, and brought near. While others tried to turn them away, Jesus made it clear that children have a place in the kingdom of God. His words remind us that faith is not something that begins later in life. It begins now. His Kids exists to help children come to Jesus, grow in Him, and build their lives on the truth of God’s Word. We believe children are not just the church of tomorrow. They are the church of today, actively learning to follow Christ and live out their faith right now. At the same time, they are also the leaders of tomorrow, and the spiritual foundations laid in these early years will shape the direction of their lives for years to come. Because of this, our goal is not simply to keep children occupied while their parents attend church. We believe children are capable of knowing God, understanding Scripture, and developing a genuine faith of their own. Everything we do is designed to introduce them to the gospel and help them grow in their relationship with Christ. Each week children experience an environment that is both welcoming and intentional. Through worship, Bible teaching, and engaging activities, we present the truth of Scripture in ways that children can understand and apply. Our desire is to help them see that following Jesus is not something that begins when they are older. It is a life that begins now. At His Kids, we place a strong emphasis on building spiritual foundations. Just as Jesus taught that the wise man builds his house upon the rock, we seek to help children build their lives on the unchanging truth of God’s Word. By teaching Scripture clearly and consistently, we aim to help children develop a faith that will endure and grow as they mature. We also believe the church and the family work together in this calling. Our prayer is that every child who comes through His Kids will come to know Jesus, love His Word, and grow into a lifelong follower of Christ. Making disciplined disciples out of our kids and their families.
