Rated R is not a stunt. It’s a confession: the Gospel was never PG. The story of Jesus is beautifully rugged—blood, betrayal, a wooden cross, an empty tomb—and in its fullness it leads us to sweet surrender. We are acknowledging the realness of Jesus: His “Rated R” story gives Him ultimate authority to forgive, heal, and rewrite the scenes in our lives we’d label “not suitable for young audiences.” Because He has walked through our worst—sin, shame, violence, death—and risen, He has the right and the power to make all things new.
This weekend is about bringing those places into the light and yielding them to Christ. We will preach Jesus plainly, pray boldly, and create space for honest repentance and real healing. Through worship, biblical teaching, and guided small groups, students will be invited to open every door of the heart to Him and discover that surrender is where joy begins. “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me” (Galatians 2:20).
And you’re invited. Our theme is heavy, but our hearts are full of joy. Throughout the conference students will experience the joy of fellowship through activities intentionally designed to help them let down their guard—team challenges, creative hangouts, shared meals, and a student-led after party that celebrates what God has done. Expect a safe, welcoming environment led by trusted adults, plenty of fun, and spaces where every student—curious, new to faith, or already following Jesus—can belong.
Come ready to encounter Christ in truth and to laugh, play, worship, and grow with friends. We’ll go deep, we’ll have fun, and we’ll leave different—because Jesus meets us where life is “rated R” and makes those places holy.
